1300 Miles later we arrived in Western Kentucky. Spring Fling is now safely nestled at Prizer Pointe Marina in the water and under cover. She will be winterized and wait patiently for us to come back to take her exploring all around the Lake Barkley area in the Spring. Just for good measure we have secured a Bubbler to place in the Slip where Spring Fling is floating. It will be placed underneath the hull to ensure that the water doesn’t freeze and crush or damage the hull.
THOUGHTS!! It was and has been an adventure so far! – We certainly learned the geography of the Lakes and the Rivers so far! – This was not a cruise! – We learned something new every single day! – We encountered many challenges along the way! – We learned many new skills! – One being how to flush the toilet correctly so it didn’t stink up the boat lol! – Every experience good or bad was evaluated as to how we could do better or different! – Pete and I learned how to communicate with one another especially after each incident. – Strong Marriage became a mantra! – We absolutely loved meeting and encountering all the other Loopers and celebrating our failures and successes altogether when we gathered for Docktails! – We are thankful and blessed that we get to do this incredible adventure!
Thank you to all our friends and family who have taken the time to read our posts and follow along with us on our journey!
